Global Communities: What attracted you to Global Communities?

Gang Lu: The reason I joined Global Communities was mainly the cultural diversity in this program. I knew that joining Global Communities would allow me to experience and learn about other countries and cultures and to appreciate more about my own culture. 

GC: What's your favorite GC memory, program, and/or class?

Amazing Race 2014

GL: My favorite memory was the scavenger hunt. I enjoyed this activity because it was a great opportunity to get to know other people and create bonding with others while explore things. 

GC: Why should an International Student join GC?
GL: Like I said previously, Global Communities has people from all around the world. Therefore, it would be easier for international students to blend in and get used to the life here. In addition, Global Communities has great activities and programs to help international students to have fun as well as learn useful things on global perspective.  

GC: What are you planning to do for your Global Experience?
GL: I am planning on going to study abroad or alternative breaks for my global experience. I am thinking about going to the summer study abroad program to Netherlands and Spain or the alternative breaks in DC about human trafficking. Both of these programs would give a better understanding on global issues and would also relate to my future career of study.
