VOLUNTEER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY with APF USA: Friends of Fondwa, Inc.

APF’s volunteer internships give selected interns the
opportunity to receive training in the area of international relations, public
relations, rural & community development; as well as skills training in
areas such as writing, research, social media and program planning.
The volunteer duties of the intern will include:
· Researching
and meeting grant donors and foundations related to community development in
the areas of education, agriculture and health.
· Assisting
with the preparation of written materials, including drafting, editing, and
proofreading monthly e-news, quarterly newsletters, Director’s reports, and proposals.
· Posts
update on the organization’s website, twitter, Face book,and maintaining file
systems.
· Assisting
with the coordination of events and meetings.
Qualifications:
· Undergraduate
or graduate student with concentration in International Relations, Political
Science, History, Public Affairs, Public administration, Non Profit Management or
Communications
· Good
research and writing skills
· Excellent
administrative and interpersonal skills
· Attention
to detail and proofreading ability
· Previous
work experience is not necessary
· Proficiency
in Microsoft Office and Internet
·
Basic French
and Creole language appreciated, but not necessary
APF Internships are unpaid and require working 2 days, 5
hour each, flexibility to also work at home.

Fondwa in Haiti (APF) is an NGO that empower the peasant in rural Haiti to
create wealth, and, APF USA is a nonprofit organization, providing funding for
APF and doing networking and outreach in the United States, APF USA is based in
Washington, DC.,
