Intel for Change at the University of Maryland
We would LOVE to see some GCers on this!! Get to the Stamp on Weds. or Thurs.!
Dear Global Communities,
I work for a nonprofit called Break Away, and we are reaching out to
you because we've been asked by Intel and Participant Media to identify
some top candidates from the University of Maryland for their new
initiative called Intel for Change. Based on the focus of your student
organization, I thought you might be interested in this program.
Intel for Change is looking for passionate students and recent
graduates (aged 18-30) to apply for a 10-day, fully-funded trip to
Ecuador, Kenya, or India this summer. If selected, you will have the
opportunity to join a small team to address barriers to girls'
education. Upon return, participants will continue advocacy work, and
the experience may result in various media campaigns such as a web
series, documentary, and national speaking engagements.
Online applications can be completed at: http://www.takepart.com/intelforchange?fb_action_ids=10151480244032679&fb_action_types=og.likes&action_object_map=%7B%2210151480244032679%22%3A144578739037114%7D&action_type_map=%7B%2210151480244032679%22%3A%22og.likes%22%7D&action_ref_map=%7B%2210151480244032679%22%3A%22.USPutKAmQng.like%22%7D
I realize this is a busy time of year, but you be willing to distribute this information to your organization? We'll be on campus Wednesday, April 10th and Thursday, April 11th from 9am -4:30 pm in The Stamp (Food Court Booths) and by appointment on Friday, April
12th. If possible, we would love to meet with you and other members of
you group to talk about this opportunity.
Feel free to email me with any questions you have or to set up a time to meet.
Please feel free to forward this opportunity onto students, organizations, and departments that may be interested.
Looking forward to it,
--
