Think that slavery ended in the 19th Century? You are wrong.

Approximately 27 million individuals are enslaved by human trafficking world-wide each year. Women and girls account for 80% of detected victims, most of these for sexual exploitation. It is a huge business accounting for about $32 billion annually.
Think this only happens in developing countries? Wrong. There are about 200,000 people being trafficked in the United States right now.

Learn more about human trafficking through a documentary film and panel discussion featuring State Senator Jennie M. Forehand, hosted by the student groups Students Engaged in Public Health (SEIPH), Political Science Students Organization, and Dreamers 4 Dreamers.
