It's
that time of year again! DREAM is looking for volunteers interested in
spending a summer, semester or academic year in the Dominican Republic.
The
DREAM Project is searching for teachers and volunteers to work with
children ages 9-15 in our 5-week summer camp program (June 30-August 2,
2013) or with children ages 3-18 next academic year (August 21, 2013 to May
30, 2014). Spend your week teaching, mentoring, and making a difference in
the lives of Dominican youth, while having the weekends free for water
sports, visiting historical cities and beautiful beaches, and learning more

Requirements:
- Experience teaching or working with children
- Intermediate to advanced Spanish skills
- Must be at least 21 for the year, 18 for the summer
camp program
Positions:
DREAM
volunteers have the opportunity to work in the areas of education and
community development. They are given a variety of assignments based on
their skills, and build valuable classroom teaching experience in Spanish.
DREAM volunteers lead youth groups, operate libraries and computer labs,
run summer camps, teach English, organize community committees, teach
preschool children, offer adult education classes and train local teachers.
Teaching positions include the following subjects: reading, writing, math,
English, computers, art, and music.

April 30th for the academic year.
Fellowship
funding is available for qualified individuals and certified, experienced
teachers. Two full scholarships are
available for volunteers of Dominican descent for the academic year
