Online Summer Course
Summer Session I, June 1 -
July 10, 2015
Are you interested in learning how sexuality and gender are expressed through
Latin American art, film, literature, and music? Do so this summer and
earn LASC credit at the same time.
Dr. Lucy Grinnell will show how Latin Americans have historically used
transgressive art and literature to critique and resist gender and sexual
norms. Focusing on Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, and Nicaragua, this
interdisciplinary course will examine contemporary and historical portrayals of
sexuality and non-normative gender through the lenses of film, visual art,
literature, and music.
